She not only arranged the day for us and booked the afternoon teas, but gave us so much information about Agatha and the local area. This is definitely the way to enjoy your visit. Miss Lemon was an exceptional guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour special for my girlfriend who's a big Agatha Christie fan. The Devon countryside drive was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful Burgh Island Hotel and touring the island with its stunning coastal views. There was a huge storm incoming to Torquay on the day we were to do our tour, and Miss Lemon communicated with me very early to warn me and see if we should change plans. She was very flexible with my schedule, and we managed to do a lovely tour of Greenway and a few other spots. It was so fun to spend the day with a fellow Agatha Christie fan, and Miss Lemon was a wealth of knowledge wrapped up in a fun person to hang with for the day. Besides being organized, competent, efficient, and knowledgeable (just like Miss Lemon), these ladies are humorous, warm, lively, and witty (unlike Miss Lemon). They took us to all the important sites, including Greenway, Cockington, Dartmoor, and Burgh Island, and we enjoyed every minute we spent with them. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and shared their deep breadth of local knowledge. Knowing we were here for the Agatha Christie Festival they not only shared interesting facts about Christie’s connections to the area but also included other experiences and history of Dartmoor. We got to see plenty of wildlife on the moors and great views. They showed us a real variety of towns and villages as well as the national park. We even stumbled on a wedding party! We had a fabulous time and would recommend this tour to anyone else. My best friend and I are huge Agatha Christie fans and we learnt so much from Maria on our tours, and greatly enjoyed discussing the local areas and how they inspired Christie’s novels. We visited Greenway, Burgh Island, Dartmoor and lovely villages with a Christie connection. Amazing attention to detail and such charming company made this a holiday to remember. All the lovely photos, souvenirs and memories we now have are already making friends jealous! We can’t recommend Miss Lemon highly enough, as long as Maria and Julie have availability for us when we tour with them again!
